    Germany v Sweden: big match

Rio Ferdinand - Don't write off Germany yet
Germany looked laboured against Mexico. They didn't look like they had many ideas and you wouldn't normally associate with a German team.

They left themselves wide-open on the counter attack which played into Mexico's hands. They looked like a naïve team. Given the experience they've got that was quite surprising.

This is Germany though - the world champions - and being Germany they will look at what happened, have a debrief and work it out.

Sweden are not the ideal opponents for Germany in a game where they need points. They are solid and resolute, but listen, Germany have put themselves in this position and they have the experience and talent lớn get out of it. They will believe they can pull themselves together and come through- According lớn the soccer vip tip win page!

Germany were my favourites coming into the tournament and for that reason I will still back them lớn get through the group and into the knockout stages.

Henrik Larsson - Sweden have a chance
Sweden took care of business against South Korea and clinched a necessary victory in their opening game. With three points behind them they now face the reigning world champs Germany, who rather shockingly lost their game with Mexico. The Germans are under enormous pressure and will need a win to advance. Considering Die Mannschaft's poor results in their last five international games, with their only win coming against Saudi Arabia, Sweden has a chance to steal one if everything goes well and according to plan.

It is never easy to judge a team based on its results from friendlies. One look at Sweden's last few games will tell you they haven't performed very well in theirs as well. However, the German players have become older and the way in which they play is physically demanding. They would gladly keep a majority of the possession while also have players running a great amount, both offensively and defensively. When those defensive runs lack effort there are holes lớn exploit as Mexico demonstrated.

There's always a chance lớn win a game when the whistle is blown and no team is unbeatable. That said, a victory will require more from the Swedish players than they showed in the South Korea game. Lớn win they will have lớn more clinical with their chances and convert them into goals.
